The regressing man

My flatmates have finally pushed me too far. Not only can they not work out how to initially keep the kitchen clean they can not work out how to clean it after they've made so much mess. Infact, it's got to a point where they have decided the kitchen is an alright place to throw up in. At what point should anyone treat a kitchen like this? It's like they're 5 and don't actually know about cleaning up yet.

What I'd really like to know is how they can happily live in such filth. I'm sure a homeless person would be put off by the state of the kitchen. I look forward to seeing a rat or 2 though they may infact find it so bad that they don't want to live around the kitchen.

This leads me on to thinking how as a university student most people seem to regress to being a complete child. Yes, people look after themselves and do things children wouldn't do such as drink but with all this they still act like children, act as if they have no responsibilities. Students spend a lot of nights out getting wasted for goodness knows how much cost and then spend the night doing embarrassing things, disturbing other people and then forgetting all of this the next day. Then they will go to lectures, whinge about the fact they have lectures and are in education still etc. even though it's all optional. Then, a lot of students will just live off junk rather than actually have a healthy balanced diet and eat anything with flavour.

The student years are basically when people are still underdeveloped and where evolution hasn't caught up.

Perhaps the failings is in the education system before you get to uni. They don't teach you any lifeskills, don't teach you how to be independent. All that gets taught are academic subjects to a mediocre standard.

All I can say is, is as Mark Twain said: 'I have never let my schooling interfere with my education'. Perhaps this is why I'm not such a lout and actually have some principles and morals.

But trust me, the kitchen is seriously as bad as I make it out to be.

Rants and Raves

There is one thing I established last night when watching a stand-up comedy act and that is that I really can not stand these moronic people in the audience who have the need to shout out comments. The worst bits about these comments are that they are not funny and do not hold any value at all. At least most comedians are quick-witted and can save the situation but seriously why do these people feel the need to do this? If the comedian asks a question then yes, feel free to answer it. However, if the comedian doesn't then keep it shut because most of the time you are not funny thus making yourself look like an absolute prick in the process as well as disrupting the show for everyone else. The reason you are not up on stage doing the show is simply because you are not a comedy act and so you shouldn't try to be. Please can people try to understand this. I paid money to see the comedian do his act, not have people interrupting the act and therefore ruining the comedians anecdote. If you have the need to say something, say to the person you are sitting next to and hope they can tolerate it. Honestly, if you are one of these people you deserve to be beaten brutally.
